The lower half of the hospital corridor walls features dark marble wainscoting, while the upper half is fully clad in beige wood wool acoustic panels, locally divided by wooden decorative frames. The corridor floor is covered with blue anti-slip carpet, and the ceiling features strip skylights with recessed downlights.
Hospital environments have high noise control requirements: cart sounds, footsteps and conversation easily reflect and stack in hard-surfaced corridors. Wood wool panels absorb high-frequency noise, reducing overall sound pressure levels, which helps patient rest and supports medical staff concentration. The warm panel tone also alleviates the cold feeling of hospital spaces.
