This multifunction hall project uses red oak wood wool acoustic panels across the main walls, combining vertical slat boards with flat panels to create a clean, layered acoustic interface.
Wood wool panels are made from natural wood-wool fibres bonded with an inorganic binder. The textured surface offers an effective sound-absorbing structure that reduces reverberation and improves speech intelligibility, while the panels provide fire-retardant, moisture- and mould-resistant performance suited to public spaces.
With careful acoustic design and installation, the hall balances noise control with a warm, natural finish for meetings, training and events.
