An AV room demands a high-quality sound field, and hard wall and ceiling surfaces easily cause reflections and standing waves. The project applied wood wool acoustic panels to the walls for absorption, combined with reasonable diffusion, to control mid-to-high frequency reflections and reverberation so the sound is cleaner and more layered.
Wood wool acoustic panels feature a natural interwoven texture, and their porous structure effectively attenuates mid-to-high frequency energy. They also offer fire resistance and low-emission performance, suitable for sealed AV spaces with high air-quality requirements.
After the renovation the sound field is more balanced and the immersion of viewing and listening has improved noticeably.
