This public space used the ceiling as the main acoustic treatment area, installing wood wool acoustic panels in a grid together with recessed lights and air vents. The porous structure effectively absorbed mid-to-high frequency noise, reduced reverberation and made conversation and broadcast sound clearer.
The natural wood-wool texture coordinates with the neat ceiling layout. Made of natural wood fiber and inorganic binders, the panels offer fire resistance and low-emission performance, suitable for public buildings with high safety and air-quality requirements.
After treatment the acoustic environment improved noticeably, and daily comfort and overall appearance were both enhanced.
